Global Operations Panel
Moving Beyond Low Cost Manufacturing, the Emergence of Innovation and Design in Asia

The Global Operations panel will focus on how Asia has evolved beyond “outsourcing” and a supply of low cost labor to becoming seen as a key hub for innovation and design. This trend has been manifest in Western companies founding large research centers in Asia and the emergence of Asian based companies that have been able to compete globally with well established Western corporations. The panel will explore the pace of this change and the challenges associated with performing higher value activities in Asia.
