Holly Liu - Co-founder, Kabam

Holly Liu is co-founder and Chief of Staff of Kabam, the leader in the western world for free-to-play core games. Holly also oversees Kabam’s corporate culture as head of People Operations (“People Ops”), which is responsible for driving Kabam’s vision, mission, and values for its more than 775 employees in offices around the world. Holly has helped build a world-class human resources team that is responsible for recruiting and retaining top talent and has grown Kabam’s personnel base by 500% in three years.

Prior to her role as Chief of Staff, Holly was VP of People Ops and Director of User Experience. She led the product design for Kabam’s award-winning Kingdom’s of Camelot, which has grown into a $250 million franchise in less than four years. Holly was also an initial designer for the mobile extension Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, which was the top grossing app on iOS in 2012.

Before co-founding Kabam, Holly was Senior User Interface Designer for AOL, where she led design of community web products. She has also worked as a consultant for Arthur Andersen and Accenture.

Holly received her Master’s in Information Management & Systems from UC Berkeley and her B.A. in Mass Communications from UCLA. She was named to Forbes’ “Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs to Watch” in 2013 and one of Fortune’s “10 Most Powerful Women in Gaming.”

Peter Goodson - Retired Partner Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Chairman of the Mekong Capital Operating Advisory Board


Peter Goodson is a pioneer in the private equity discipline as an early stage partner at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice one of the very first management buyout firms. To capture value the firm specializes in accomplishing significant operational improvements at companies like Hertz, Lexmark and Home Depot. Prior to his private equity career Mr. Goodson was the founder of Kidder, Peabody’s M&A practice. Although “retired,” he is Chairman of the Operations Advisory Board of the leading Vietnamese PE firm, Mekong Capital, a fellow of Dartmouth’s’ Tuck Center for Private Equity, sits on numerous boards, is an award winning teacher here at Haas and is currently developing an emerging market course focused on South East Asia.

Richard Lyons - Dean of U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business


Rich K. Lyons is the Dean of the Haas School of Business. He has been on the faculty since 1993. He served as Acting Dean from 2004 to 2005 and as Executive Associate Dean and S.K. and Angela Chan Professor of Global Management. He received his BS with highest honors from U.C. Berkeley (finance) and his PhD from MIT (economics). From 1987 to 1993, Professor Lyons was on the faculty at Columbia Business School. His teaching expertise is in international finance. In 1998, Professor Lyons received U.C. Berkeley's highest teaching honor, the Berkeley Distinguished Teaching Award.

From 2006 to 2008, Professor Lyons was on leave from Berkeley serving as the Chief Learning Officer at Goldman Sachs in New York. He currently serves as a Trustee for Matthews Asia.
